The ST36 (ST3600) is a hand-wound mechanical movement widely used as a reference caliber in beginner watchmaking courses.
Its large size (~36.6 mm) makes it easier to work on than a typical wristwatch movement: parts are more readable, hand movements are less cramped, and disassembly/reassembly is clearer.
The layout follows the ETA / Unitas 6497 architecture.
There is extensive documentation, diagrams, and tutorials online.
Ideal for learning to disassemble, clean, oil, and reassemble a mechanical movement.
